The Reverend Dr. Malcolm Ellis
I come to you as a priest, husband, father and friend, committed to becoming a part of your community and parish. I was born and raised in South Africa where I also studied and was ordained as a priest. Tess and I were married there and we both studied further in Chicago.
We returned to South Africa and were blessed with three children, and then immigrated to the USA in 1987. Since being here we have been in parishes around the country: Illinois, Florida, Minnesota and Texas…and had two more children!! Michael is now in Hobart, William Smith College and Michelle attends Garrison Forest School. And to my great delight, my daughter Tami has blessed us with our first grandchild, Ellisanne.

The Reverend Dr. Paula Barker
The Rev. Dr. Paula Barker is our Associate priest at St. Thomas’. Paula served as a professor of Church History and Spirituality at Seabury Western Seminary in Chicago, Illinois where she assisted in parish ministry. She has now entered another phase of her ministry career, participating fully in our parish ministry. She has two adult daughters.
