Worship “Under Quarantine”

Worship at St. Thomas’ has a different “look and feel” these days as we abide by the COVID-19 stay at home orders. I’m regularly asked about when we can return to in-person worship at St. Thomas’. At this point, we don’t know. Bishop Sutton is working with the bishops and staff of our neighboring dioceses to develop a coordinated re-opening plan so that we are all working together. This plan will be developed with the input of public health officials and local authorities. Having a coordinated plans will avoid sending mixed messages and creating confusion. Please keep our bishops in your prayers as they undertake this important work.

In the meantime, St. Thomas IS worshiping! We are gathering for prayer at the following times:

  • Sundays at 10 am – Morning Prayer Rite II
  • Monday – Saturday at 8:30 pm – Compline Live (the final night prayers of the Church’s Daily Office)

If you are a member and receive our weekly emails, the links and passwords to join our live Zoom congregation are found in your weekly email. If you are not a member, we welcome you to join us on our YouTube channel (click here and subscribe for updates). If you are interested in joining St. Thomas’ Church, please contact me at interim@stthomaschurch.us and we can set up a time to talk more about following Christ in the Episcopal tradition at St. Thomas’ Church.

Fear not! We will get through this and one day return to our parish church building. In the meantime, join us for live worship.
