St. Thomas’ is a vibrant church community in Owings Mills, Maryland. Each Sunday, more than 150 people from varied walks of life and religious backgrounds gather together to worship and celebrate. We are on a journey together toward faith in God through Jesus Christ and we invite you to join us.
Children, youth, and families are important parts of our community. We have strong programs for children and youth: Sunday School classes and Youth Groups that train and equip our young people to serve Christ in the world. Summer mission programs, both at home and away, are a highlight of the year.
Throughout the week the St. Thomas’ community is alive with activity. From building homes in Baltimore with Habitat for Humanity to cooking meals for Paul’s Place to visiting the sick and home bound, St. Thomas’ members look outward to make living faith a part of every day.
Established in 1742 as a “Chapel of Ease for the Forest Inhabitants” then living in the area, St. Thomas’ is a beautiful church on 52 acres of land, and has remained in service to this community and the broader metropolitan area for more than 260 years.
While we value our history deeply, it’s the people with whom we worship and serve that are the lifeblood of St. Thomas’ Church. We receive strength, inspiration and joy from each other and it is that joy – the love of Christ – that connects everything we do.
Today, we are a church of young families, teenagers, single men and women, empty nesters, retired people, and everyone in between. At St. Thomas’ we strive to create a nurturing atmosphere for our individual and collective Christian journey.
